From the perfect 2000 vintage (as Mr. Suckling erroneously claimed), this Barbaresco exhibits the traditional nebbiolo aromas of dried flowers, red berry fruit, and tar. On the palate, more red cherry fruit with surprising sweetness, verging on overripeness. I attribute this to the very ripe 2000 vintage which resulted in many very ripe Barbaresco/Barolos. Still, a very good Barbaresco, just not great and a bit over-priced. Drink now. Tasted june 2012.
