Prunes, mint, and spices on the nose. Lots of ripe fruit and little tannin with almost a hint of fizz. Good at the price, but very simplistic and straightforward.

Always a pleasure to drink this wine composed of 100% Garnacha. Wine's vivid aromas of sun-warmed berries, red plums, and cherries with cedar undertones lead into soft and juicy flavours.
Smooth on palate, a delightfully easy-going with everyday simple meals like sausages, cold meats and salads.
Castillo de Monserran comes from beautiful vineyard of the Cariñena region in north-central Spain; behind this wine is former bullfighter now winemaker Javier Domecq (right move!). Tasted July 2012.
