A delectable chardonnay that is easy to overlook because of its origins. A rewarding discovery to those adventurous...

Not that I have an issue with Greek wine, but this one really caught me by surprise. Captivating from the first whiff to the very last sip. Floral delicacy with subtle tropical aromas but in no way aggressive. Just a hint of effervescence and oak lead to an uplifting and highly refreshing taste – you’ll enjoy this! Tasted Sept 2012.

I had the 2010 vintage, although the lCBO is restocking its shelves with the 2011.

As many others here, I was also impressed by this wine, and not just for the price. It took a little bit to open up, but I really enjoyed how subtle and soft it is. Those who don't like oaked chardonnay should give this a try as it is very tame without loosing the buttery, slightly smokey characteristics.

Tasted November 2012.

I admit to retsina-phobia, but gave this a try...(thanks to Sara).
Simple and slightly sweet floral impact, with a typical but not overdone oaky finish.
Very nice indeed, esp for the price!

Medium gold with a medium to medium+ intense nose.

Positives: A nice easy drinking Chard featuring light oak, lemon/lime, lemon curd, dill, green & yellow apples and limestone. Medium body with good acidity & a fairly long length.

Negatives: A tad sour on the finish.

Drink now on its own or pair it with lemon pepper catfish.

I have not had the 2010 and this applies to the 2011 vintage. Green apple, lime, and butter are the most upfront aromas. It has crisp acidity with lots of fruit and is light to medium bodied.

This did not work for me. It was neither subtle, nor golden buttery, but some mineral tasting in-between. And it declined over time, with a taste I cannot describe but do not like becoming more prominent. Canadian chardonnay is just as good for that price.
