The 2009 Grant Burge Corryton Park Cabernet Sauvignon spent 16 months in predominantly new French oak barrels. It is a medium bodied, fruity to integrated wine, with intense aromas of red currant, black cherry, faint leather and cedar. It has a nice structure with grippy tannins (decant for 30 to 60 min) and a long finish. It is ready to drink now, but will still evolve nicely for the next 10+ years. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 92 pts - recommended buy. Tasted May/12.

A big wine with blackcurrants, tobacco, smoke, meat and oak aromas. On the palate, there is blackcurrant and red fruits (cranberry and cherry) that are well-integrated with fine tannins. Very smooth. Medium-bodied with a very long finish. Yummy. Tasted May/2012.

Medium to medium+ ruby to in colour with a medium+ intense nose.

A typical Barossa Cab

Positive Notes: Full flavoured cab featuring medium oak, plums, eucalyptus, cherry, black olives, red and black currants, licorice, espresso and slightly leathery on the finish. Full body with medium to Medium+ tannins, good acidity & a long length.

Negatives: Touch hot on the finish

Drink now on its own or over the next 5-7 years and pair it with T-Bone steak.

Tasted: 13 June 13

Score: 9/10, Value: 8.5+/10 Total: 18/20

Out of 5 stars, I rated this wine: 4

Classic nose of blackberry, cedar, tobacco. Rich mouth feel and long finish. Well integrated Napa-style cab.
