The 2008 Grant Burge The Holy Trinity consists of 44% Grenache, 40% Shiraz and 16% Mourvèdre and has been aged in French oak for 12 months. It is a ruby coloured, medium bodied, fruity to integrated wine, with intense aromas of raspberry, blackberry, violets and cedar on the nose and strawberry and raspberry on the palate. It has a nice acidity, refined tannins (decant for 30 min) and a long finish. Tuck away for couple of years and drink from 2014 to 2020. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 92 pts and a recommended buy. Tasted May/12.

Holy moly! This blend of 46% Grenache, 39% Shiraz and 15% Mourvèdre offers gorgeous aromas of red fruit, ripe cherries and subtle milk chocolate. Crushed red berries and blueberries with hints of chocolate and mocha on the palate. Medium-full bodied. Could be aged another 5-6 years. Awesome! Tasted May/2012.

This is a gorgeous wine from a wonderful Australian producer. A classic Rhone blend the wine is a mix of Grenache, Shiraz, and Mourvedre (hence the name GSM). This is a big wine layered with complex and beautiful aromas which are echoed on the palate. Rich fruit, good acidity, tannins that don't dominate, and a long finish make this wine a must have. Well worth the $32 price point.

Popular Rhone-style blend. Rose petal, red cherry (almost red licorice) on nose. Extremely well integrated (although you do feel a bit of heat from climate/alcohol). Lots of ripe fruit but good tannin/acid backbone. A must try!
