The 2006 La Gerla Brunello Di Montalcino is a medium bodied, integrated to aged wine, with intense aromas of cherry, rosehip, liquorice, clove, oak and vanilla - a front to back complexity. It has refined tannins (decant for 1+ hour) and a long, chalky finish. This one is a sipper, drink now or cellar for the next 10+ years. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 91 pts - recommended buy. Tasted Nov/12.
