Tasted in February 2019, this wine has retained all its qualities and found a way to further improve. He is now just excellent. On the nose, it is still complex (lots of red fruits, spices, dried herbs and a little menthol), and its length is impressive. Its tannins are now completely melted and it is still fresh after 5 years in the cellar. The only regrettable element is its price, which went from $ 32 to $ 48 in 5 years.
A stronger aroma than the Camins del Priorat, consisting of ripe cherry and plum, and fresh rosemary. Through the palate this wine has great depth with strong tannins and the sweet fruits from its nose. Strong minerality in its very long excellent finish.
Tasted March 2012.
The 2010 Alvaro Palacios Les Terrasses is a medium bodied, fruity to integrated wine, with intense aromas of red currant, blackberry, oak, cut hay, vanilla and coconut. It has a solid structure with good acidity, nice minerality, refined tannins and a medium to long finish. It’s still quite young, drink 2014-2020. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 91 pts - though not a typical wine from Priorat.
Tasted during 'The Wines of Alvaro Palacios' tasting organized by WineAlign on March 19th, 2012.
