This winery is turning out astonishingly dense yet poised wine from rocky riverbed soil in the remote Elqui Valley....

Mature, evolved, spicy, quite stony and mineral, indeed inviting. Though the palate is even more savoury, juicy and...

wow...really the best carmenere i've tasted! so concentrated you think your drinking vicks cherry cough syrup. It's packed with sweet cherry, herb/ medicinal/ roasted jalapeno peppers flavour. needs time to soften, but then it's rich and silky smooth. GREAT FIND!

Best Carmenere I’ve ever tasted!

Rich dark red color, bright.

On the nose rich aromas of ripe fruit, spices.

On the mouth soft, dry, balanced tannins and acidity. Medium to full body. Concentrated flavors of fruit, chocolate, spices.
Amazing!

A beautiful, concentrated, crowd pleasing wine and a great value. Beautiful vibrant dark cherry colour. Core aromas of blackberry but almost venturing into amarone territory with dried fruit, cedar, black olive and spice. Tastes much the same as the aromas adding some dark cherry and chocolate. It's super concentrated, with a nice balance of sweetness, mild acidity and tannins. Feels very soft and lush the mouth and has a fairly persistent finish. Very enjoyable.

Thick
Powerful
Concentrated
Almost fortified without the sweetness.
Probably as AMAzing as the others say. Just not sure if this grape is for me

We found the Viña Peralillo Arenal Carmenere 2009 a much richer and smoother wine and would recommend it over this Carmenere. Perhaps that merely betrays our preference for Colchagua Valley at this point,
