Great bang for the buck. It's a nice blend of black fruits (blackberry) with some nice complex spice and earthy flavours. The thing that stands out most about this wine is the texture. It's feels like a "fruit-bomb" crowd pleasing shiraz from Australia, but maintains it's "class" (as John Szabo puts it). All around a nice wine, and very good value.
The 2009 Gérard Bertrand Minervois Syrah/Grenache, is a medium bodied, fruity wine, with appealing aromas of raspberry, plum, oak, faint vanilla and liquorice. Tannins are chalky and refined to tannic (decant for 30 to 60 min) and the finish is medium to long and slightly alcoholic. Though enjoyable now, drink 2014-2018. My impression: NICE, 89 pts. Tasted Apr/12.

This was medium bodied, with blackberries, plum, and liquorice. Nice but not fantastic, it tasted a tad young. I should have cellared it for a year or two.
A fair amount of depth at this price. nice bouquet of raspberry and ripe blackberry, licorice and sweet earthiness. The palate is more subdued in terms of fruit but is nicely balanced, medium bodied and there is a lingering spicy finish.
Beau nez minéral et fruité aur la confiture de fraise le sucre.
Première bouche franche mais pas trop vive bien arrondie
Minéral boisé avec de la fumée sur le fruit rouge
J'adore 2015
Soft, approachable with ripe blackberry fruit along with typical notes of smoke and black pepper. This is a very good southern France wine that is just missing a bit more fruit to make it really shine. Still, fairly valued and good with food. Tasted June 2012.
