Good Value.
deep red/purple colour
-berry and methyl on the nose (pleasant)
-swirl-
smell-dark berries and plum, licorice
-more approachable than a chianti
-stewed blackberry and burned cherry
-pleasant sipper- would pair well with grilled chicken, beef tongue, (heavier chicken or a lighter red meat)
-Extremely good value for a weekday sipper.
A nice deep purple red at a great price. Very juicy, intense and persistent.
Aromas of plum, red cherry and white peach with floral and spice hints. Well balanced, very soft tannin. Pleasant finish with good length. The wine is not fancy, but a perfect everyday companion for a dinner with old friends.
It is medium bodied, so don't chill too much. Tasted August, 2012.
This is a light wine but it has a nice bouquet and smooth taste and is incredible value - the equivalent of about $6.25 a bottle if you get the 1.5 Litre bottle. Maybe you're looking for something more substantial for sipping a glass or two, but this one was great at home with rigatoni tonight.
drinkable for the price! Good with spicy food, sharp and tart taste.
