90
April 2012
Pepper, blackberry, and leather on the nose. Plenty of juicy fruit with softening tannins. Medium-bodied and excellent value.
I taste black cherry at the start, and maybe coffee like notes on the finish. Quite smooth with no obvious flaws. It really grows as you continue to drink it. Almost pushing a 90 score. So much better than Australian Shiraz at the same price.
For 11 bucks, go for it!
Great value. Dec 2012
The aroma is nice and if smelling this wine is all you will do with it then by all means buy it. Drinking it is another matter. My advice to suppress that gag reflex is to have copious amounts of water handy and gargle if you have to. It may be embarrassing but it will get you through the evening.
