At this price I say "Shut up" and buy another one.
Rustico - and that's what I want my Italian wines to taste like.
Since discovering it a month ago I keep it in my house all the time.

A real find if you like Italian wines! It is now our "go to" house wine. Great with chicken and great with steak - no need to say anymore.

Rich and full but heat is slightly overbearing; masking the fruit flavors.

Deep ruby red from the northern part of Salento behind the arc Jonico. Lucarelli is produced from old vines, hand picked, and no oak during fermentation and aging.
Fruity with notes of black cherry and prunes, spicy with vanilla scents. Medium to full bodied, smooth with well balanced acidity. Medium tannin, long finish with tar-like notes and some earthiness that came through.
Tasted September 2012.
