Very nice Monbazillac, which is a (less famous) variation of Sauternes, i.e same grapes. Very sweet and very nice flavours probably due to the higher proportion of the Muscadelle grape. Also tried the 2001 vintage a month earlier and aging really makes a huge difference on this type of wine. Strongly recommend trying a Monbazillac wine. Only a couple of options right now at the LCBO and maybe 7 - 8 at the SAQ (Quebec). Look for the keyword "Monbazillac" which is the AOC appellation. Tasted January 2012. (Note: the price is the price paid in France, but will be more around $20 in Canada).
