Screw-top. Aromas: tropical fruit, lemon citrus, stone fruits, mineral and petrol. Tropical fruit, lemon-citrus, slightly tangy on the palate. Finishes with honey and some mineral notes. Deliciously medium-dry. Very good wine to sip on its own or pair with mild-cheeses. Tasted Feb/2012.
The dominant petrol (pool vinyl) masks the honey, lemon-lime, and peaches. The petrol shows early in hot vintages so this is not surprising. On the palate, the juicy, sweet peach, apple, and honey is almost a touch flabby (very full bodied) with slightly less acidity than I expected. The finish is long, sweet lemon-lime that matures into a lemon-pith finale. Nice paired with sweet potato and lentil curry. Tasted January 2013.
This is my first taste of anything from this winery. There's a beautiful aroma of peaches and honey. This wine is off-dry on the palate. Although I personally prefer a more dry Riesling, I don't think this example will disappoint as there's still some zing to it.
Solid wine for the price.
