A plush, juicy drink with rich aromas of earth, plum, cedar and liquorice. I found a little minerality perked it up on the finish, followed a tinge of something sweet and floral. A good deal for the price. Try it with a braised stew of red meat instead. Or a tian of Provencal vegetables, if that's more your thing.
Good value Bordeaux seems an oxymoron, but that is the case here. Medium bodied red, with solid fruit, a bit of herbeceousness (from some Cab Franc?), and notes of olives and earth that call to mind Languedoc rather than Bordeaux. Nicely done. Tasted March 2012.
Medium ruby in colour with notes of cedar, licorice, plum and sage coming through on the nose. Juicy on the palate with blackberry, currant, plum and earthy notes. Fine grippy tannins and great length. Medium to full bodied with great intensity and depth for the price.
