Beautiful aromas of tart apple, light caramel, slight tree resin.
On the palate, creamy texture and subtle apple flavours; spice comes through on the mid-palate and lingers through the smooth finish, long and not overly hot.
Excellent quality for an AOP Calvados.
Great aroma, though, with heavy alcohol and gasoline tones.
Same comes through on the palate. Very sharp, burny, for a wood fermented cidre based calvados.
Complexity is there, but too harsh to thoroughly enjoy. Definitely not one of the top calvados I've ever had.
