Very smooth yet full of flavours. Will have again.
Sweet, soft nose of dark berries, some anise and milk chocolate. Full bodied. Good fruit concentration; cherries, blackberry. Not a fruit-bomb, not at all over-extracted. Tannins are present but sweet and smooth. A fair bit of alcohol but not overpowering. Overall this is a well balanced, easy drinking Shiraz that has some years of life left but to me there is nothing here to justify it's price.
Tasted November 2014
Brought this bottle to our wine club and it ended up being a wine that everyone seemed to have nothing bad to say about but no one wanted to run out and buy, especially for the revealed price. I liked the fruity aroma and it had a nice berry taste that I really enjoyed. It was a good sipper and would be a crowd pleaser for sure, but certainly not enough bang for the buck for me.
