First off, there is a story about the 2003 Château Lagrange Monbadon. It was supposed to be released on the 15th of October, but didn't appear in stores until mid November. Most likely it was just delayed and didn't make it to the actual release, or as I like to think of it - a gift from the LCBO meant to counteract the (for the most part) overpriced wines presented to us just prior to Christmas. However it happened, it resulted in absence of any reviews (not just WineAlign, but anywhere on the web) and even though it has been disappearing in certain stores, for the most part, it still has stayed under the radar with the LCBO currently holing nearly 3,500 bottles. Now to the review:

The 2003 Château Lagrange Monbadon is a light to medium bodied wine with nice notes of integrated red berries namely strawberry, toasted oak and chocolate. It has a nice structure with balanced acidity, refined tannins (decant from 15 min to 1h and note it to evolve) and a long and very smooth finish. Though ready to drink now, it still will have plenty of life in the next 5 or so years. Just to mention, it is very food friendly and has some sediment. My impression: very NICE, 89 pts - definitely a recommended buy, especially at this price. Tasted Dec/11.
