An excellent bottle from a widely declared vintage, just coming in to drinking peak. Beautiful red colour, with soft spice, red fruits and baking aromas. Layers of dried fruit on the palate with a mild spicy intent. Excellent length. Wine is nicely integrated and balanced and hopefully a precursor to other '97s.
