Pale garnet colour, quite pronounced aromas of red fruit, floral and a nice earthiness. It's medium bodied with a long finish.
Medium body with moderate complexity and decent value.
Crushed flowers, dried red fruit, leather, dark chocolate with a hint of smoke. Tannic and oaky with a soft finish.
Tasted January 2013.
Light garnet to ruby in colour with a medium intense nose.
Positives: Cedar, dried raspberries, sweet & sour cherries, pomegranate, plums, raisins & leather. Medium body with medium+ tannins, high acidity & medium+ length.
Negatives: None.
Interesting Point: This is not a big blockbuster Barolo, but I challenge you to find one this caliber for under $30 (sale for $24.85!). Also not as austere as you would think at this price.
Drink now in its own but will drink better with food such as veal sandwich. Give it time to breathe.
