Tasted the 2011 vintage. This incorporates a little bit of everything and it's very balanced, made with quality fruit and oak. Citrus, tropical, vanilla, caramel, oak...i prefer my chards a little creamier with more butter mineral notes - but for this price point...i'm not complaining. Pretty amazing stuff for the price.
Okay for the price. Tasted November 2012.
Bright gold in colour with medium+ intensity on the nose.
Positives: The nose makes this wine feel like a $50 chard. It shows notes of medium toasted oak, buttery, vanilla, lemon meringue pie, caramel covered apples & popcorn. The taste feels like an under $20 chard with more citric & tart notes of lemon rind, lime, green apples, unripe pineapple, light toasted oak & limestone. Medium body with high acidity & medium+ length.
Negatives: A little tart on the taste.
Interested Thing: LCBO usually has this wine on sale a couple of times a year.
Drink now & pair it with snow crab & drawn butter
Bright golden + light green in color. very easy to drink.
This is a pleasant chardonnay but it lacks in structure and overall character. There are plenty of good Chardonnay's coming out of Chile and while this one is by no means bad, there are better options available.
