Wow I didn't expect this much quality from a low priced Perrin & Fils. Thankfully it was recommended by Vintage staff, or else I would have passed it by. Lush and delicious. What a great Rhone wine at an amazing price. Violets, cherry concentrate, hint of bitter coffee and wet rocks come to mind.

For $15, you really can't go wrong with this wine. It was rich and juicy. A great example of a Rhone wine. Great value!

On the nose there is slight minerality and earth with mostly very nice dark cherries. On the palate is it intense and the finish is long and clean. Wonderful.

A down-to-earth, easy drinking, old world equal blend of Grenache and Syrah. Aromas of cassis, red currants, and dried meat lead to the subtle sweetness of black cherry with plum skin tartness, and hints of graphite. The finish is very dry. This would make a great afternoon conversation wine to serve with cold cut smoked meats and a variety of cheeses. Tasted Dec 2011.

Taste more syrah than Grenache but still good none the less.

It's only wine but I like it

It's only wine but I like it

Ripe dark berry fruit with support from notes of herbs, and pepper. Less structure and complexity than the '07 that I tasted just a few weeks ago but, at $15, this is a fine Cotes du Rhone. Drink now or over the next year while the fruit is vivid.
