Beautiful deep ruby, almost a purple coloured wine, 60% Carignan, 30% Grenache, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah rounding out this blend. Very elegant aromatics of wild raspberries, cherries and blueberries fruit with savoury spices, cedar and Irises. The mouthfeel is soft, with flavours blending very well together followed with fresh acidity and silky tannins. The long finish is anything but soft, with spices and a bit of heat from the 14.5% alcohol.
fruity, soft, delicious.
Value ****
Very nice Spanish wine and for the money, a great value. You can drink it now and enjoy. It's a pretty, feminine wine with lots of fruit and a little bit of vanilla. I tried this wine with some co-workers, one male and one female. Us ladies loved the label, the male said he most likely wouldn't look twice at this wine based only on the label. After tasting it though, he bought a few bottles. :)
The 2008 Álvaro Palacios Camins Del Priorat is a medium bodied, fruity to integrated, nicely aromatic wine, with notes of yogurty cherry, prune and oak. Tannins are subtle to refined (decant for 30 to 60 min) and the finish is medium to long. It is good to drink now, but would benefit from cellaring - drink 2013-2017. My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 88.5 - a recommended buy. Tasted July/11.

I found this wine too acidic and thin
