For a more technical notes on this Merlot; 97% Merlot and 3% Malbec aged 18 months in 100% French Oak with Alcohol at 14.7%. This wine opened up with rich black plums and black cherries, mocha and cedar. The mouthfeel is complex with dark fruit, field berries, vanilla, cedar and savoury flavours, grainy tannins and fresh acidity. The finish on this Merlot is long with sweet tannins and savoury. Definitely a big muscular wine with an abundance of fruit, a great deal of complex flavours with tannins and acidity to match.
