Sucks that the LCBO has dropped this wine. I really enjoyed it. Lots of greatness in the bottle - light and smooth. Does the trick, and you absolutely cannot beat the price.

A go to Pinot Noir for picnics or casual light dinners with friends. Does not disappoint. I'd break out 3-4 bottles out of this way before opening a single $50 bottle... but that's just how I prefer to roll!

Typical burgundy here with notes of sour cherries, rhubarb, raspberries. spice, cedar, a little smoke and earth. The acidity is well balanced allowing the fruit to show nicely. Light towards medium bodied with low tannins and some minerality. While not overly complex, it's a nice sipper for the spring and summer months.

Medium-light ruby colour. Aromas of fresh strawberry and cherry, complimented by vanilla, soft smoke, and some earthiness. Dry with medium acidity and present, but soft tannins. A smoky, minerality come through on the palate, along with cherry and vanilla. Medium finish.

This basic Burgundy wine is a delicious value! All the typical Burgundian key traits are present - just in a lighter fashion.. It has that red cherry with a hint of sourness. Also present are those spicy, forest floor characteristics that we all love along with hints of vanilla. Finishing dry, the alcohol shows off every so slightly (even if it's only at 12.5%). The length of the finish isn't that long but hey, for $13, we'll survive. This impromptu purchase is now my "Burgundy on a budget" pick.
