This is a south Australian new-world explosion of fruit and spice; I never seem to tire of it. Expect a big, full bodied style that will pair well with a herb or a peppercorn meat dish. It is approachable now with decanting 2 hours prior to the meal but will become more complex with an additional 2-4 years in the cellar. Enjoy after 2013. (northof9finewine, March 2011)
A nice Shiraz from Australia. Fruity and spicy. Refined yet complex. Air it for a couple of hours before drink and you will like it better.
The 2007 Penfolds Bin 28 Kalimna Shiraz is nicely aromatic, medium to full bodied, fruity wine. The nose displays blackberry, blueberry, coconut and oak, whereas strawberry, prune and green pepper can be noted on the palate. Tannins are refined (decant for 30 min) and the finish is medium to long. Suggested drinking between 2014 to 2020. My impression: NICE, 90 pts - fruit bomb. Tasted June/11.

Very good, (Penfolds always is) but there are too many Aussie wines just as good in the $20 range to keep me from re-buying this one.
Tasted June 2015.
