The 2009 Montes Classic Series Cabernet Sauvignon is medium bodied wine, with FRUITY to integrated notes of red currant, blackberry and cedar. It has a nice structure with balanced acidity, refined tannins (decant for 1 hour) and a long and smooth finish. Drink now and for the next 5 years. My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 89 pts - great buy for $13 and a recommended buy. Tasted Oct/11.

Lovely! The Colchagua Valley keeps delivering! And the Montes show with their 2009 Cab Sauvignon that they can win you even when your palate has more references for comparison.
Priced low for what it delivers. Enjoy.
Mint, prunes, lead pencil shavings, and herbs on the nose. There is plenty of ripe fruit, soft tannins, and lots of complexity in this wine. It is very well balanced and is medium-to-full bodied. Exceptional value.
Bold, complex, and well balanced. Prominent oak flavor. Good hold with mildly bitter aftertaste.
Smells with Favourable berries. Smooth to the palette. Very refreshing longing taste resides to rear taste buds. I will mostly likely buy more of this wine.
Tasted - Jan 2011
Not bad for the price but a little sharp. Needs a lot of decanting.
Easy drinking, fruit forward cab. Would like a bit more dimension, but decent value at this price point.
