This blend of Grenache Noir and Syrah has a fragrant, medium-high intensity nose of lovely wild red cherry, garrigue, black pepper spice, and dark red cherry aromas nuanced with Mediterranean herbs and stony minerals. It's medium+ bodied and dry on the with very nice, balanced aroma replays, if very ripe, with notable stony mineral and black pepper spice notes. It has nicely balanced with crisp and juicy acids, alongside light, fine grained tannins. The finish length is very good with stony mineral, red berry, and garrigue notes. Tasted May 2025. As one has come to expect from M. Chapoutier, this red has plenty of character. Loaded with ripe fruits, with notable flavours herbs and cured meat. Sure, its a bit rough around the edges and the finish is merely good, but at $15, this is superb value. Chill a bit and enjoy in the short term. Tasted Sep 2025.
