Much like the '18, a bit of oak up front but the plummy fruit dominates the show. Very good concentration and complexity at this price point, with silky tannin on a lingering finish, Really good wine here. The '18 was a stellar value at $22, this '20 is $2 less. Will hold for a few years but also good to go now. Tasted Oct 2025.
Richly fragrant and inviting, with a medium-high to highly aromatic nose of lovely ripe dark fruits, blk chry, currant, cassis & wood spice aromas surrounding core of savoury earth & accented w/ graphite, mineral, and whiffs of rose floral. It's medium+ bodied and dry with ripe black cherry, currant, cassis, earthy, and graphite flavours in a well-balanced profile w/ crisp & juicy acidity. Accessible, medium-level tannins are well-structured and provide a nicely textured mouthfeel. Savoury w/ earthy & graphite notes linger on long, gently grippy finish. Tasted May 2025. Score: 90+ pts
