Nose: Floral, slightly rubbery even a bit tarry.
Medium, almost full body, quite dry. Good fruit, some wood, plenty of tannin and acidty.
Good value and a good all-round Italian wine.
Plums and spiciness on the nose. Full-bodied, with plenty of dark fruit. Very well balanced wine with a lingering lovely aftertaste. Demands something meaty.
Ripe flavours, verging on (but not quite) overripe, with dark cherry notes dominating. Not particularly tannic to my taste, and finishing with a touch of sweetness. Solid value.
