This Syrah has a lovely, open, medium-high to highly aromatic nose of funky, slightly bretty/barnyard notes that yield to reveal savoury earth, meaty, black pepper, dark berry, and blackberry aromas, plus some purple florality. On the dry, medium to medium-full bodied palate it offers savoury blackberry, black pepper spice, and meaty flavours. It has very good acidity and smooth, well-structured tannins. Savoury and fresh on the long, earthy finish. Tasted Sept. 2024.
