This blend of Aragonez, Trincadeira, Alicante Bouschet, and Syrah has a fresh, generous nose of ripe red berry, currant, and cassis aromas, plus hints of floral, sweet wood spice, and clove, all of which comes through on the dry, medium-full bodied palate. It has very good acidity, alongside plush tannins with a supple textural mouthfeel. Savoury and earthy notes linger on the long finish. Tasted May 2025.
Agree with David on this, a no nonsense straightforward red with hint of sweetness (just 5g/L according to LCBO website, seems a bit higher). Simple but very enjoyable. Great bbq wine while we still have these warm evenings, At $11, a steal. Portugal rules! Tasted Sep 2024.
