This Xinomavro has fresh red cherry and currant aromas accented with some dried cherry and floral tones, plus subtle oak characters on the nose. On the medium-full bodied, structured palate it has dusty, grippy tannins that support the refined dark red cherry flavours. Acids are very good, while the finish length is excellent. Tasted Oct. 2023. Score: 90+ pts

A superb discovery for the price! A real pleasure to sip and sip...I won't repeat the consensus of reviews, just wanted to add another 90+ to this wine's score.

Solid, if not an exceptional Xinomavro here from Kir Yianni. Fairly pale red, as one would expect from this variety. with predominantly red fruit (sour cherry, red currant), bright acidity and fairly light tannin. A fairly simple wine, but fine enough stuff for appropriately matched food like tomato-based pasta sauce or pizza. For current consumption. Tasted Oct 2025.
