The aromas indicate a transition from youth to age—medium-intensity aromas of violet, red currant, balsamic, rosemary, leather & orange. As time went by tobacco, brown sugar, and earthy aromas showed up.
Medium (+) flavours of black cherry, leather, dust, and menthol. Medium-plus acidity & finish. I didn't find the palate as complex as the nose, but it's a good wine to have with food. Would love to have a bottle from a better vintage but, not bad for $20. July 2024
