This chard hits many marks - it's balanced, complex, intensely flavoured and long. Notes of yellow apple, peach, pineapple, caramel, spice and diacetyl (buttery) notes indicative of Malo conversion. Medium to full bodied with a lovely creamy mouthfeel indicating lees contact. The fruit's high elevation provides freshness and vibrant acidity. Great value here for fans of bigger oaked Chards but that still give a sense of freshness. Aug. 2023.
What a solid wine that's great with food (Salmon and pineapple Rice) at a great value. Aromas of cream, honeysuckle, grass, honey, and sour fruit. Fresh thirst-quenching flavours of tropical fruits, perfume, caramel, and lemon with nice minerals to finish off. Solid wine for only $25, put this in Burgundy and it's easily a $50+ wine
