Highly aromatic nose is fresh & fragrant w/ ripe blackberry, black currant, fine wood spices & savoury earth aromas, w/ intriguing touches of cassis, tomato leaf & graphite. It's full-ish bodied on the dry, chewy palate w/ very good concentration & complex, lightly tangy flavours of ripe dark berry, blackberry, currant, tomato leaf & some pipe tobacco & graphite notes. It has fresh, juicy & well-balanced acidity, while structured tannins are smooth, refined & well-integrated. Subtle chalky mouthfeel on back palate. Savoury, graphite mineral notes on long finish. Tasted Jan 2023. Score: 92+ pts
