Other oustanding Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Cherry, pepper, spice, herbs, plums, and an interesting leather finish.
Very complex and tasty. Loved it!
Here's a well-balanced, very ripe but not baked example of Châteauneuf, from the highly regarded 2007 vintage. It's full of dusty earth and Mediterranean scrub flavours. Acid is moderate, alcohol is generous but not exaggerated and the finish is lingering. Serve with a light chill to highlight the good parts (fruit and herbs) and downplay the heat. Complex and compelling all in all. Tasted June 2011. Value Rating: **1/2
Delicious wine. Full bodied with great balance of fruit and spice.
Very nice but the high alcohol level was noticeable
Tasted October 2014.
Really nice blend. Full, round, with smooth aftertaste.
Just what I expected! A wonderful blend chalked full of rich, sweet and well defined fruit flavours. A touch of spice is evident on the long rich finish. This wine lives up to its well deserved reputation!
9/2011 w. steak, good match. smooth and deep colour. should have let it breath more as there should be more to it. Avg CH du P.
This was stored in a cellar but is well past it's prime. Disapppointing.
