The 2007 J. Lohr South Ridge Syrah has a medium body with integrated notes of black cherry, coconut and vanilla. It has refined tannins (decant for 30 min) and a smooth and silky finish which is medium to long. It is ready to drink now and will be for the next 5 years. My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 90 pts - though not too complex, it is a well crafted wine that I would recommend. Tasted Dec/10.
