Matured in concrete tanks, this blend of mainly Syrah and Grenache, plus Carignan has a medium-high to highly aromatic nose with lovely, ripe wild berry aromas in the shades of black-red-blue, joined by plum, peppery spice, and dried herb, and underlying meaty and minerally notes. It's medium-full bodied with lovely raspberry, blackberry, pepper, and mineral flavours with hints of violet. It's got fresh acidity and smooth, supple, and lightly structured tannins. Raspberry, wild berry, and meaty flavoured, tapering to a long, minerally, and very satisfying finish. Tasted May 2022.

This spicy and complex blend of grenache and syrah comes from vineyards in Latour-de-France in Roussillon, near the Spanish border. It’s a fragrant red that offers an array of earthy, spicy and leather notes with black olive and dark fruit adding interest. On the palate, this is full-bodied and smooth; a suitably generous style of wine with nicely balanced acidity, alcohol and tannin that nicely combines power and drinkability. A terrific barbecue wine. Drink now to 2028.

It's only wine but I like it

Re-tasted Apr 2024, consistent notes. Great stuff.

Like prior vintages, this is a flavourful, spicy complex wine....a bit broody and tight is how i described the '17. Lovely wine this '18, but could still use another 12-18months, but should keep longer than that, Will re-visit with another bottle near the end of '24. tasted Mar 2023
