Tried this wine last eve. A friend gave it to me as a gift. I thought it was delicious...But I am a real fan of spanish wines....
ruby red colour, smooth & velvety to the palate, gentle kiss on the tongue, cigar box, pine needles, wonderful complex finish, very good length, a very good Rioja and excellent value***1/2
2007 was all that was available. Big fruit, soft tannins with a slight jammy-ness – the type of wine that really hits it's stride post dinner. Young, but has a mature character that could take it to new heights in 4-5 years.

The 2006 Marques De Caceres Crianza, aged in French oak for 24 months, is medium bodied, with integrated notes of red currant, cherry, coconut and vanilla. Tannins are refined (decant for 30 min) and the finish is medium and smooth. The wine can keep another 5 or more years. My impression: NICE, 88 pts - bought while on sale, well worth it. Tasted Nov/10.
