This is a fine example of a modern Chianti. Some might argue the oak presence, but it is not overly oaked, as the...

This blend of 90% Sangiovese, 5% Malvasia Nera, and 5% Colorino has a medium-high intensity nose that is savoury and earthy, revealing red cherry and florals over time. It's light-to-mid-weighted with pleasing aroma replays that are both and savoury and fruity. There's a touch of grip, along with fresh, balanced acidity. Very good length on the savoury finish. Tasted May 2022.

The Sangiovese scent is lovely, with hints of violet, cherry, and potting soil. The flavors are consistent with the aroma, with notes of red licorice and menthol that bring a refreshing taste to the wine. The acidity is moderate-to-high, and the tannins are soft. -April 2024
