This to me what a Southern Italian wine should be. The region produces some of the best value for quality wines and Aglianico is one of the most undervalued grapes-- specially if it's from the Vulture area. The regions volcanic soil adds certain depth to this beautiful, funky, juicy, rustic wine. Certainly an acquired taste.
