The oak is apparent on the nose as well as the palate but not dominating. There is power and intensity on the palate - very satisfying even though it lacks a bit of complexity and somewhat one dimensional (however, this would be considered nitpicking at this price point). Tannins are well integrated with a long finish. A success in a difficult vintage as well as an excellent value. Recommended.
