You know when they say Bordeaux is one of the best values in the world? Well, here we are. Lots of sediment in this bottle. Medium plus intensity aromas of tobacco, vanilla, smoke, menthol, and violet. Medium flavors of tobacco, blackberry, oak, pepper, and minerals. Medium acidity and tannins. Fantastic with Charcuterie board and pizza, the latter brings out more of the last remaining fruit. So, drink now for the fruit and keep going for tertiary notes. Drink this at 18c.- Tasted July 2023

A very fine Bordeaux here from a stellar vintage. What strikes flavours. Nothing dominates or overwhelms the senses. The fruit is perfectly ripened, the acidity is well judged, oak is so nicely dialed in as to be unnoticeable. Just goes to show that really good red Bordeaux can be found at a reasonable price. Drinking nicely now with some aeration, probably better in another 12-18 months. Should keep a to see its 10th birthday. Tasted Dec 2021.
