Pours a nice creamy mousse, with a pretty pink-copper colour. It’s stylish, with delicate raspberry and strawberry flavors…there’s a hint of sweetness on the mid palate to add pleasure but finishes dry and crisp.

Nice copper hue, fine streams of bubbles. Aromas of peach, raspberry, cranberry, lots of stony minerality, and some toasty/biscuity aromas as well. Cherry, cranberry, and MacIntosh apple come out on the palate, along with a hint of smokiness and toasted almonds. Very lively, crisp, and refreshing. Good length, finishing with cranberry, raspberry, almond, and minerality.

Not complex yet elegant & easy drinking sparkling wine

Description: Light pink in colour with a medium to medium+ intense nose and fine mousse. This wine features light yeast, raspberry, strawberry, cherry and Macintosh apple. Medium body with good acidity and a fairly long length.

Negatives: None

Interesting Point: Established winery making sparkling wine since 1877. Nice bottle to impress dinner quest.

Drink now or in the next couple of years on its own or pair it with Risotto with sun dried tomatoes and shaved parmesan.

Simple but bright and classy. Looks great in the glass, cherry notes with some yeasty flavours as well.

New to the Essentials is this amazing value bubbly. For around $20 it is great value. It is a delicate rose gold in colour with loads of tiny bubbles. Mostly made from pinot noir, it has a delicate nose of strawberries and red cherry fruit with a hint of toast and mineral freshness. The palate is very smooth finely balanced with excellent length. Try with poached salmon or pastry based hors d'oeuvres. Tasted April 2011.
