The release price of this '16 Xinomavro was up $6 from last vintage that I tried - the price has since been reduced. Fruit of course leans to the red spectrum, with some sour cherry and dried red fruit here, along with some earthy notes. I find that the '16 seems to have a bit more noted oak than prior vintages. This, along with the still noted tannin, leads me to suggest that this wine needs a couple of more years in bottle, where I think that it shows better. Wait until 2023...should keep another 5 years beyond that. Tasted Sep 2021.
