Not sure why this vino is receiving increasingly poor reviews. I've tasted the 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009 releases and find them to be consistently drinkable.
Mildly woody on the nose, flavors of pitted fruits and earth carry through to a slightly metallic finish. The 2009, tasted just today (10-Apr-2011) bears decent similarity to the higher-scoring 2007. Almost as yummy as the Negroamaro Salento 425km south of Abruzzo.
