The Vintages description says that Hunter's is "relatively new to North American wine lovers", but whoever penned that can't have been around for very long, as the reviews here for the 2007-2014 vintages will attest. This pinot has indeed been absent from LCBO shelves for several years, so I'm pleased to welcome it back like an old friend. It's a pale, limpid wine with a beguiling nose, featuring fresh cherries, a touch of smoke, and a dash of oak spice. It's just as I remember it: quintessential Marlborough pinot that is a couple of notches above the mean.
