An unusual blend of Merlot (30%), Mourvèdre (30%) and Marselan (40%) with no oak ageing. Even with that foreign grape (Merlot) to the region in the blend, this is a distinctively southern French wine, with lots of scrub brush/herb-infused ripe fruit. A case of terroir over grape variety? Delicious and a steal at $17. Tasted June 2021.
