I met Paul Newman at a small environmental gathering in NYC not too long before he died. He was indeed an impressive man an I admired what he was doing with his foundation. So when I saw this on the shelf I thought I should at least give it a try - to honour his good heart. To my surprise, the wine is a well made, approachable red. It's soft in the mouth with easy but not overly sweet red fruit and berry and a mellow touch of spice on the finish. Not too much complexity but a joy to quaff. Cheers to Paul!
